Title: New guy!
Description: In which introductions are made

JustMy2Cents - August 10, 2005 11:25 PM (GMT)
Greetings, all.

StevieMadrid and Frippegod tipped me off about this place for discussion (thank you very much, Gentlemen :) ), and I've been lurking around a few days to get up to speed, sort of. A very nice upgrade from the Fahrenheit 9/11 board on imdb.com, indeed - which is now arguably worse than ever before.

A bit about myself:

I'm Norwegian, work as a news reporter. For those familiar with www.politicalcompass.org, I'm a libertarian left, somewhere around the Dalai Lama. In Norwegian political terms, that means I'm a conservative/centrist with certain socialistic leanings. God knows what that would make me in the US or the UK B)

Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to do my part to keep this an interesting place for debate.

Cya later, all.

Welcome,

Hope you find a few discussions to your liking

Wingfoot

(on politicalcompass.com i came out as being almost the same position as Ghandi)

Hello. And uhm, don't know what it would make you here in the U.S. I can tell you that in NationStates, that you would be called a Socialistic Democrat... or is that Democratic Socialist. Anyway, think there is a political party with that moniker. But you probably know better, being so close and all.. almost a neighbour to them.

Hello, evidently my name is Les. I am from Canada and am of a Native group called the Metis, meaning halfbreed. I look forward to much interesting discussion with all of the fine posters on this website.

What part of Canada are you from, Les? I'm from Manitoba (although I'm living in Pennsylvania right now).

Welcome Les... and enjoy!

BTW, we are all mixed breeds at this late stage of life's evolution. :)
