Well, we had it coming I guess.

In modern theological debates particularly between Catholics and Protestants, the figure of Paul and the theology of his teachings in the New Testament often become a source of fierce debate.

I suppose I'd like to start this discussion with a serious question (I'm not trying to steer the answer or anything). But how did Paul's letters get such precedent in the Bible over other epistles?

My name is Paul. I saw this topic and was like "uh-oh" :o

Anyways, didn't Paul claim himself to be an apostle? But never actually came into contact with Jesus. I've heard claims of him being an antisemite and truly being the cause of the spilt of Judism and Christianity.

I've heard info to dispute this, but interesting topic.

Carry on

I once heard a homily by a priest who was talking about theology, Christ, and St. Paul. And one thing struck me.

He said, "you know... everyone gets caught up in quoting St. Paul all the time. And don't get me wrong. He was a great man. BUT HE WAS JUST A MAN."
