Actually, it's past midnight here in New York City.....so D-Day has passed, largely unnoticed in the media....as is most history. Sad.

At any rate, - I think it's quite important to remember the last legal war fought by the US.....one declared by the Congress as required by that ' *** piece of paper' as our ersatz president referred to the Constitution. What if the invasion at Normandy had failed that day back in 1944? What if...

Greetings and welcome to Politics and Prose. And you did remember D-Day while mentioning here... so you get credit for it even if only a few minutes late for posting it.

You will find many a liberal, some socialists, couple of republicans and a few conservatives. Usually, we'll be varied on our stances. Yet most will agree to your illegal war assessment... especially in light that the 2nd Iraqi War is technically over. Not sure we should talk troop strengths on the day it was declared over versus today.

But you'll find many a thing here to discuss hopefully. Glad to have join us here.
