Not quite. Here we see the increasingly material imposition of walls and borders in the world, from Mexico to Palestine and now Iraq.

What a wonderful idea: first create the material conditions for the disintegration of a country, then wall off the constructed "communities" to force a naturalization of the Sunni-Shia conflict. What better way to divert blame for this war: we (US) didn't do anything, they're just naturally tearing each other apart and now the only answer is walls!

EDIT: PM'ed Delta for a topic move, now that I realize this should probably be in World Reports.

Sadly, a wall would not do anything, at all. These people would just blow it up with IED's. Truthfully, the US should just get out of there. Now.

Divide and conquer.

Yeah, this is a bad idea. We probably lifted the idea from the Israelis, we've had the tendency to overrate their success in dealing with their own problems.
