I never really wanted to see any foreign-language films, mainly because I thought I wouldn't be able to keep up with the subtitles and still catch the action of the movie. But after seeing Pan's Labyrinth (which I loved), I realized that wasn't the case. It was actually very easy for me to read the subtitles and watch the movie at the same time.

This, plus the great reviews I've heard about Volver, prompted me to think about seeing that movie as well.

So, I'd like to know: For those of you who have seen Volver, did you like it? And what kind of movie is it, really (i.e. the genre)?

I saw it, its pretty good. I dunno exactly what sort of genre it is, its rather hard to place.

This is on my Rental list at the moment. It was recommended to me by a friend.

I've seen it now. I thought it was OK. Some bits didn't really make sense to me until the end but overall not a bad film.
