Hello, my name is Clay. I am from Arkansas. I am in the ninth grade. I enjoy politics. I know it sounds weird coming from a 9th grader, but I truly enjoy politics. I am a Christian so most of my views are based on my views. I take a civics class at school. I have a top grade, so I know what I know what I am talking about. I watch the news every night so I can stay up to date with everything going in the World. That's all I can think of right now to tell you all. I hope to get the membership. :D

It is so heart-warming to know that even 9th graders do take an active interest in politics. Should be very interesting to hear some of your thoughts on various current issues/topics within that arena. Might even have to ask, are you impressed with the first 100 hours of the new congress?

Well, let me first start off thanking your for welcoming me. I haven't really been posting much(school and all), but I will start letting my views be heard.

I am not much of a fan of Democrats, but they have actually done some pretty good stuff withing their first 100 hours. I grew up in Arizona, predominantly Republican state, and now I am here in the south surrounded by Dems, so I hear their views quite frequently.

I am glad they raised the minimum wage. I will most likely be working in a couple of years, and of course i will be starting out at minimum wage. My state, Arkansas, just recently in October raised its minimum wage, so now they have to raise it even more, so i am looking forward to that.

I have not really been a big fan of the stem-cell research. I don't believe in taking stem-cells from not-born babies is just right. At least that is how I have understood it.

The colleges prices being more affordable will be great for me. I come from a family that doesn't really have alot of money, so this will help me out in the future years.

I have multiple health problems, and take 14 prescription pills a day. They government negotiating prices on prescription drugs will help me with some medicines my medical doesn't cover.

I'm liberal, but I'm not a huge fan of the dems either. But a lot of their stuff is looking, at least on the surface, very good.
