Well, this is supposed to be where I say "hello" and greet you all, then?
Season's greetings, then, to be politically correct. My name is Josh C., and I am currently a freshman at Life Pacific College. I am here, invited from the InvisionFree Support forum by Deltasix after properly debating him in regards to the Old Testament laws. I am a Christian: Fundamentalist Evangelical Charismatic (I think that covers all the bases). I believe the the Bible is the inexhaustible and completely true Word of God, but I also believe that knowing the historical and social context in which it was originally written is fundamental in interpreting its intended meaning for today's age. Besides that, I enjoy having my views challenged, especially in a civil manner. I do not believe in senselessly obeying everything I hear, as that would be foolish. Instead, I believe in digging deep for the truth and knowing it for myself. As an added note, in most serious debates, my religion tends to dictate my stance, despite my logical sense (thus most of my views tend to be overwhelmingly moderate, making voting an incredibly hard thing when all parties are extremist one way or the other).
I'm not all seriousness, though. I do enjoy humor, especially humor that defies my senses of logic and intuitiveness (also known as "WTF" humor, in some circles - this is mainly because I have found that some of my illogical friends tend to have much more fun than I do, and have learned to laugh with them). Table games are also good, such as pool, chess, foosball, and ping pong, but if I'm looking for a battle of wit I tend to refer to games like poker, Risk, and chess (none of which am I terribly good at, mind you).
So, yeah, that's me. The more I post here, the more you're likely to learn about me, who I am, and why I am that way. Oh, and one last thing: I'm a writer.
Welcome to PnP. Great to see you have some differeing views to alot of people here. good to mix it up
