We now allow uploads directly on to ImageShack. Just use the post options you see to upload (it somtimes takes a while). The codeing for that feature has failed. We are back to our orginal suggestion:
You may, of course, still use another service than photobucket if you wish.
Linking- If you post a topic, and you didn't write it, provide a by line or a link to the source please.
Multiple Accounts- We at PnP do not allow this, and unless you have a good reason (i.e.- School computer/different people on same computer) we do not like multiple accounts on the same IP address. If something ban worthy happens on an IP, and there are multiple accounts on it, they are all gone. Sorry about that, but its the only way to keep off users.
No making account names that flame or personally attack members. Account names are subject to review.
Ads- No advertising your forum/programs without first asking an
Admin.
Suspension and Banning- Case by case basis. Suspension and banning is a last resort, and only occurs after multiple PMs and warnings, as well as after being demoted to Probation group. Only in an emergency can someone be banned without notice, and then the suspension must be approved as soon as possible. See the 1st Amendment, which hereby replaces this rule.Appeals- Though we try to be fair at all times, we may make a decision or course of action that you might feel is wrong. All members have a right to appeal a choice made by the House of Lords or the actions of a forum manager. An appeal is put in Parliament, and a person who did not make the choice will be the judge. If the choice was made by the Poliburo uniformly, then the Premier will serve as judge.
You are allowed an opening, up to five rebuttals of the points presented by the defense, then a closing, followed by the closing from the defense.
Rulings are final.
Amendment process- These rules may be updated through the House of Lords.
We don't want this to be complicated, but do use logic when posting. We want to keep a mature atmosphere on PnP, so keep your posts on topic and logical, I have faith in you  First AmendmentSigned in by the House of Lords 7-22-05Troublemakers- 1st offence:
Warning. If the actions being taken are a threat, then demotion to the
Petty Thuggroup (cannot use e-mail system). Any staff can warn someone, but if it is done people must inform all of the staff of their action. Demotions will be reviewed as soon as is possible (immediately after action is taken).
For severe problems, such as mass spammers and the like, an instant temp ban can be put into place. This is only to be used in the most serious situations, and this action will be looked over very thoroughly.
2nd offence- If the poster continues to commit minor offenses, another
warning may be given. Further action if needed.
3rd- Demotion to the
Petty Thuggroup. Being in this group means that rules are applied to the letter to you.
4th- Final Warning.
5th-
Felon. A
Trip to Prisonseverity is up to the person doing it; the ban can be 3 days, a week, or permanent.
We reserve the right to delete site (board) memberships if your conduct is detrimental to the board, with or without prior warning.
Second AmendmentSigned in by the House of Lords 7-22-05 Promotions- PnP has a number of ranks, the basic one being “proser” which is obtained upon signing up for PnP. The next level above member is
Citizen. After that is
Representative, Senator, and finally
Cabinet Member. Basic guidelines are as follows:
Promotion from Proser to
Citizen: Minimum post count of 80 is required. A poster must show strong activity on PnP, and general interest in a majority of subjects. The poster must be mature and able to set a good example on his/her own, must be someone who represents what PnP is.
Promotion from
Citizen to
Representative : Minimum post count of 90 required. Must show all of the qualities needed to be a
Citizen and be interested in aiding the PnP gov’t in its activities. When promoted, a
Representative must remain active in the House of Lords, or else be demoted to
Citizen rank. Promotion to
Representative will also be based on need, though one may warrant the level advancement, there might not be a position need in the PnP gov’t.
Promotion from
Representative to
Senator : Minimum post count of 200 is required. Must show all of the qualities needed to be a
Representative , including ability to Moderate a forum effectively. As a
Senator is a Global Moderator, they must show ability to note problems and knowledge of rules as to what is to be done to fix the issue. As PnP grows, the need for
Senator will grow with it, but we wish that the need will never be high. As such, the rank will be filled only when need arises, even though a fair amount of members may meet the requirements for this rank
Promotion from
Senator to
Cabinet Member: The final possible promotion for a member of PnP is that to
Cabinet Member. Must show all of the qualities needed to be a
Senator including ability to perform administrative duties, such as basic forum coding and full understanding for rules. Promotion to this level is based on need, as such, though a fair amount of members may fill the requirements for this level, the rank will be lightly filled.
Third AmendmentSigned in by the House of Lords 11-6-05 Freedom of Information-Any member of Politics and Prose may request a digest of the activities of the ruling body in the past month. Such a request must be PMed to a
Cabinet Member. At the end of the month that member will receive an e-mail highlighting the activities of the governing body of Politics and prose.
Fourth AmendmentSigned in by the Politburo 3-12-06 Signature Limits-The size limits of images/text in signatures will now be 150 Pixels by 550 Pixels.

If a signature is mere text, leeway will be given. Staff are given a small amount of extra room, as are plus members, as part of benefits of promotion. Signatures may include small links to websites/forums and any appropriate images, as they are described in the rules and Invisionfree TOS and TOU.
Note: Politics and Prose staff retain the right to delete any signatures they deem "offensive." Any issues taken with the action can, as is stated in the rules, be taken up in the PnP Parliament.
Fifth AmendmentSigned in by the Politburo 11-27-06Open lines of communication- As it is important for staff to have open lines of communication with all members, it is against the rules to block any staffer less it be with cause due to
on site problems, and then only after the forum owner is contacted. Blocking of staff members without just
on site cause (define just as ruled by forum owner) will result in warning and possible placement in
Petty Thuggroup.
