Which is your favourite? If it's not on this list (which should include at least 88.3% of the people on the 'Net), please select Other Chat/Messenger Client and please tell the name of it.

AIM.

Well I have outlook express but it doesn't work right so I never use it. I only send e-mails & an occaisional PM in forums. Never got around to fixing it so I've just learned to live without it. I copy the contact web address at sites then go to my e-mail.

If I do, AIM, only because everyone else uses it more than others.

Deltasix - April 11, 2006 12:23 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I guess thats why I use it too. AIM is the one I'm more used to, YIM I just hate, MSN is okay, and Trillian is probably the best one all around, but yeah, I just don't often use it.

Well, as of right now, I don't often use much of anything.

I like ICQ but since everybody uses AIM, I'm kind of stuck.

kate_for_free - April 11, 2006 05:24 PM (GMT)
i use YIM.

At work, I'll occasionally use gmail's chat.

Well before any IM's were used, I was on IRC. I still prefer IRC for chatting.. though it's not the most wonderful means of staying in touch... since the more popular IRC nets are usually huge.

By far, spent more hours chatting in IRC than in all other IM clients combined. Before then it was BB chat on a little local board in D/FW.

ICQ used to be my favorite years back. As time passed though I would talk to people and groups that used other messengers. All of them have their own little benefits but I prefer ICQ still. Sadly since no one I really would like to talk to any more has ICQ I don't use it but the rest go on daily. YIM because of my internet radio station, AIM and MSN for the contacts (though they are few at presnet) and MSN again but E-Mail notification.

I'll idle in two IRC channels on game surge. Both related to different games which I play.

Well in my area MSn is most common so i use it.

This has gotten a lot of votes and responses. Thank you. :)

I'd placed a feature called "C-box" on my forums to see how easy/useful it is. Anyone can use it, but it tends to be used most by the Admin for little "updates". It's a little to awkward for actual chat.... it requires a page-reload or clicking the tiny little "refresh" link inside the box.

Deltasix - May 4, 2006 08:40 PM (GMT)
Yeah alot of IF forums have that. A "Shoutbox" if you would.

kane123123 - May 4, 2006 08:47 PM (GMT)
I only use AIM.

Rivey - May 5, 2006 08:39 PM (GMT)
Yeah I use irc, msn and yahoo.. and of the three I probably have 2 people I actually chat with lol Im such a nerd

Deltasix - January 19, 2007 03:27 PM (GMT)
I've been using mainly Trillian lately. Some people use MSN, some AIM, so I just log onto both.
